Painting in oils in a new style.   Working hard to establish lights and darks.   Took the painting of Ober Gatlinburg to American Sideshow in Gatlinburg.   John really liked it so I'm gonna try for some more in this style.   Only had three of my 8 people in class on Thursday so I decided to paint right along with them.   The results - a kind of nice painting of daisies done on my Goodwill found table easel.   Only $5.99 including the box, palette, brushes and really "cheap" tubes of acrylic and oil.   Sort of like a kid's set but I tried it out anyway.   Paint worked fine but I'm going to try to same picture using my better quality paints and see what difference there is.   Some people are so picky about the paints they use so I'm going to try to see the comparisons.
